IDLI DESIGN

Frenchman Theirry Journo, who’s worked with the likes of Thierry Mugler and Andrée Putman, flips Jaipur’s penchant for print with his eclectic, colourful derivatives. Palanquins, Mughal monuments, Sino characters, decorated camels – they all find their way onto kaftans for women, buttoned-down shirts for men, upholstery, cushion covers and crockery. There’s also a made-to-order line of furniture and
furnishings, including tied-and-dyed carpets.
